June 26-27, 2010 - Crossroads Dragway

This weekend was the Jeg's Super Quick series at Crossroads Dragway in Terre Haute, Ind. We made a couple test passes Saturday morning to collect more data at this track.

We decided to stay for Sunday's 330' race. It was supposed to be a 32 car ladder just like the Jeg's race (quickest 32) but only 22 cars entered. We qualified #5 for it as well.

June 12th, 2010 - Chandler Motorsports Park

On June 12th we raced in Super Pro in the NHRA Division 3 State Championship race at Chandler Motorsports Park in Chandler, IN.

We got 2 time trials. For the first one we removed the air filter in the new scoop to see if it would make a difference in ET. We shook the tires at the gear change fairly hard on the first pass, so our ET was relatively slow. We put the air filter back in for the second time trial and the rest of the evening. We used 200hp worth of nitrous for 1.5 seconds all day so that we'd qualify for the Quick 16. We qualified #2!

April 9-10 - Gateway International Raceway

April 9-10 was the first Jeg's Super Quick Series race of the season at Gateway International Raceway just outside of St. Louis, MO. We made some test passes on Friday and ran the Jeg's race on Saturday.


The first pass was just a half pass to make sure everything was okay with the car. We didn't use any nitrous on the second pass, but we used the nitrous for 2.5 seconds for the third.

May 21-22, 2010 - Windy Hollow Dragway

This week was the annual Big Block Ford Bash and Windy Hollow's regular racing program. We made some test passes on Friday, raced in the Ford Bash in Super Pro Saturday morning and raced in regular Super Pro Saturday night. It was a really fun weekend and a great 'welcome home' for me.

May 28-30, 2010 - Beech Bend Raceway Park

May 28-30 was the 24th annual NHRA SportsNational Open at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We made some test passes on Friday and ran the Jeg's Super Quick Series race on Saturday. We originally planned to race in Super Pro on Sunday, but ended up not doing so because we were exhausted from 2 long days in the heat and humidity.

During Friday's test passes we changed launch engine speed and shift time to see what kind of difference they would make. In the end, they didn't make much of a difference at all. Then we made one pass with nitrous to prepare for the Jeg's race on Saturday.

We lost in the final to Bobby Small. He accidentally re-engaged his transbrake (hence the bad light) and I lifted at the mph cone, but still broke out. Congratulations Bobby & Stacey!
